We grew up?

We grew up to be clean clothed, we no longer play with sand in the garden.
We grew up to have good eating habits, we no longer cut oranges into half and suck the pulp
We grew up to be graceful and charming, we no longer run like crazy in the hall.
We grew up to be respectful of other’s feelings, we no longer express ourselves
We grew up to understand country, state, religion, caste, class and occupation, we no longer see person as individual
We grew up to become independent and behaved, we no longer express to be wanted and pampered
We grew up to be aware of the place and people, we no laugh so hard that we get tears in our eyes
We grew up to have respect food, we no longer play with our food
We grew up to treat others well, we no longer throw dirt or things over each other
We grew up to understand the world, we no longer put things into our mouth to taste them
We grew up to respect our elders and bosses, we no longer say no to a person of authority
We grew up to be respectful and ideal, we no longer say hug our loved ones whenever we feel like it
We grew up to be sincere, we no longer have the sparkle in our eyes
We grew up to be adaptive, we no longer leave whatever we have behind to search for new interest
We grew up to understand importance of money, we no longer walk away from something that we don’t want to do any more

We grew up to be Adults, But still in there somewhere we all still want to be child again.

    Shah, its really touching and very beautifully put of all the realities of life. Its true that we want to do a lot but we can’t becoz that what we are taught – to keep our emotions to ourself.
